  • Owner: The person registering the microchip and pet details, deemed the legal owner of the pet.
  • Microchip: A unique, scannable identification number implanted in a pet.

2. Service Scope

  1. Registration: Owners may register their pet’s microchip number and related details in the Petsasa database at no cost.
  2. Retrieval Assistance: The database can be used by authorized parties (e.g., shelters, veterinarians) to retrieve owner contact details when a lost pet is found.
  3. Availability: The Service is provided as a free initiative by Petsasa Kenya Ltd, subject to technical and operational limitations.

3. Owner Responsibilities

  1. Accurate Information: The Owner must provide complete and accurate information during registration and update it promptly if details change.
  2. Compliance: The Owner confirms they are the legal owner of the pet and that the information provided is lawful and truthful.
  3. Updates: The Owner is responsible for ensuring their contact details remain current and accurate.

4. Limitations of Liability

  1. No Guarantee of Retrieval: Petsasa Kenya Ltd cannot guarantee the recovery of lost pets. The Service is a tool to facilitate reunification but does not replace other pet recovery measures.
  2. Data Accuracy: Petsasa Kenya Ltd is not liable for errors in the data provided by the Owner.
  3. Third-Party Use: While Petsasa Kenya Ltd allows authorized third parties to access the database, it is not responsible for misuse by such parties.

5. Data Privacy

  1. Usage: Data collected will only be used for pet identification and retrieval purposes.
  2. Protection: Petsasa Kenya Ltd will take reasonable measures to protect the data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
  3. Disclosure: Owner contact details will only be shared with authorized parties involved in pet recovery (e.g., veterinarians, shelters).

6. Termination and Deletion

  1. Owner Request: Owners may request the deletion of their pet’s data from the registry at any time by contacting Petsasa Kenya Ltd.
  2. Company Rights: Petsasa Kenya Ltd reserves the right to remove outdated, incomplete, or incorrect data from the database without notice.

7. Amendments to Terms

Petsasa Kenya Ltd reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
